Stay At Home And Drink Your Milk by Maxwell Anderson

£15.00

Publication Date: May 2026 // Binding: Saddle Stitched // Extent: 28 pages // Trim Size: 8×10” // Edition: 150 copies

Set within the quiet intimacy of a home, it is uncertain if the the series of photographs are a personal document or a performative exchange. Created by long time collaborators Maxwell Anderson and Todd Lamming, Stay At Home And Drink Your Milk plays with the idea of ambiguous sexuality and the domesticisation of sexual tension. The relationship between the photographer and subject is unclear, if the two are friends or lovers, whether they have known each other for one night or one decade. Their interactions are both lustful and banally familiar. The photographer muses over the man we see in the pictures, both observing him voyeuristically and making direct eye contact. The man portrayed in the pictures alternates between casual indifference and deliberate engagement with his companion, sometimes appearing unaware, sometimes knowingly participating. The expectation of sexual desire merges with mundane domestic ritual.

Printed on luxurious papers and produced in a limited run. A special edition of 25 copies is also available.
